Moola Market Trading Post

Welcome to “Moola Market,” a new initiative by APMP GMC! Members have told us that they’d love a place to network, post open jobs or recruiting information, and advertise their own small businesses. After all, proposal managers come in many forms, backgrounds, and skill sets! We’re excited to offer some options if you’re looking to trade goods or services with others in our chapter.

In-Person Events

Please feel free to bring your business cards, job postings, and handmade goods to any GMC-sponsored event including our Annual Symposium and BPC. A booth will be available where you can display your wares. As a suggestion, please include a QR code or URL and bring multiple copies of printed materials if you wish attendees to take handouts with them. GMC is not responsible for any printing or production costs.

Keep an eye out for the GMC Cash Cow at events! They will be giving away prizes… including some actual moola.

Upcoming Events:

GMC Proposal Fair | October 10-12, 2022 | St. Paul, MN

  1. We are looking for a talented Proposal Strategist to join our Water team. The Proposal Strategist is responsible for collaborating with the business development team to create compelling and responsive proposals and shortlist interviews. Our small but mighty Water team is looking for someone inherently curious — someone who isn’t afraid to pull at a thread and see where it goes. We believe in life-long learning and are excited to mentor you and soak up your perspective, experiences and recommendations. Teach us something new, and we’ll possibly embed it into our processes and best practices! Also, importantly, you must love to talk about good restaurant spots, podcasts or binge-worthy T.V. shows. Please reach out to: [email protected]

  2. A college in Nelnet’s renewable energy space is hiring a Business Development Analyst on our Net Zero team. This person will be focused on developing market analyses, identifying potential clients, drafting proposals, and conducting additional research for reports. This is an entry-level position. Any of y’all are welcome to apply, but if you know someone fresh out of college/grad school looking for an opportunity like this please send them my way: [email protected]

  3. My team is looking for a capable Proposal Writer to join our growing team. As a member of this team, you will have a firsthand role in supporting Nelnet’s diversification efforts in professional business services – we get a variety of RFPs and exposure to many different sides of the business. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and editing skills and the ability to work well in a fast-paced work environment.

  4. Proposal friends, please tap your networks! My team is hiring a Proposal Writer II, preferably someone with federal/government experience.

My team works with experts in areas like technology, business processing outsourcing (BPO), and government services – we get a lot of variety! – and is on the front lines in winning new business at Nelnet.

The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and editing skills, a collaborative mindset, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a deadline-driven environment.

I’m happy to chat with anyone who might be interested.
